Future Builder 2026

Build something real in one evening.

Future Builders is a hackathon-style evening where you go from a blank page to a working prototype and a pitch, all in one night. Instead of sitting and listening, you build. You will join a team of five with a mentor at your table from start to finish.

Together you will find a real problem worth solving, test whether it is genuine, build a working prototype using AI and no-code tools, and pitch it to a friendly panel. Short talks on confidence, AI and the future of work, and practical networking run through the evening, and there are prizes, certificates and refreshments.

This is an inclusive event and everyone is welcome. Students, graduates, career changers, professionals, founders-to-be and the simply curious. No degree, no coding and no experience needed: the tools and the mentors mean complete beginners genuinely build something real. Come with friends, or come on your own and we will team you up. Women and people from under-represented backgrounds are especially encouraged to take part.

You will leave with a prototype you helped build, a certificate, a toolkit you can reuse on any idea, new connections across the Milton Keynes, Oxford and surrounding tech community, and proof that you can take an idea from nothing to a pitch in four hours.
