Speaker 1: Dr. Valérie Morignat
Title: CEO of Intelligent Story and Professor of AI Strategy & Responsible AI Design

A polymath by trade, Dr. Valérie Morignat is the CEO of Intelligent Story and Associate Professor of AI Strategy and Ethical AI Design at aivancity. She is a global AI expert and interactive design leader with cross-functional experience in business, government, and academia. She holds a Ph.D. from the Sorbonne University, two certifications from MIT in AI Strategy and Machine Learning, and is certified by IDF in VR/AR design.
Dr. Morignat also worked as a tenured Associate Professor of Cinema and Interactive Arts at the University of Montpellier. A Government-appointed policy advisor, she devised inclusive forward-leaning reforms and transferred high-value technology to the public sector. Based in San Francisco since 2015, she led world-class teams in technology firms and healthcare marketing agencies, servicing a portfolio of 20+ Fortune 100 clients.
Dr. Morignat is an AI Ethics advisor to organizations such as IEEE (USA), Springer Nature (UK), and Women in AI (USA), and an Ambassador to the World AI Summit.
Speaker 2: Rose Mwebaza PhD
Title: Director at UN Climate Technology Centre and Network

Rose is the Director of the UN Climate Technology Centre and has 20 years’ experience providing policy advice on a wide range of climate change, environment and sustainable development issues. She has previously served as Chief Natural Resources Officer at the African Development Bank, and held leadership positions within the UN Development Programme. Rose holds a PhD in Environment and Natural Resource Governance, a Master’s Degree in International Comparative Law and a Bachelor of Law Degree.
Speaker 3: Timi Olagunju
Title: Tech Lawyer and Policy Consultant

Timi Olagunju is one of Africa’s foremost tech lawyer and policy consultant, with core capacity in digital policy and open governance. He is Africa’s representative and Global Vice President on the Global Members Advisory Board at the International Republican Institute’s Generation Democracy (IRI-GD), representing policy leaders and organizations across 70 countries working on driving open governance. He is 2020 Most Influential Young Nigerian in Policy Influencing (YNaija). He also sits on the board of Feed to Grow Africa.
Timi is a recipient of several awards for his distinction in policy influencing and open governance, including an award from the Ooni of Ife and President Barack Obama. He has made several presentations on digital policy, open governance, and has authored two books namely: ‘The Hustlers’ Mentality’, and ‘Yes Africa Can’. He participated in the Research Sprint on digital self determination at the Berkman Klein Centre Society for Internet and Society in Harvard University. He tweets @timithelaw.
